Using Coldlytics from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor (MCP Server)

Connect the Coldlytics MCP server to your AI assistant and ask it to find companies, look up decision-makers, reveal verified emails and launch research tasks.

Written by Richard Francis

Coldlytics is an MCP server (Model Context Protocol), which means AI assistants can use your account in conversation: "find owners of plumbing companies in Austin", "reveal the top ten", "look up acme.com", "launch a research task for these 40 domains".

Server URL: https://mcp.coldlytics.com/mcp

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector.

  2. Paste the server URL and confirm.

  3. Claude opens a Coldlytics sign-in. Approve the access you want to grant.

Our listing in the Claude connector directory is awaiting approval. Once it is live, you will be able to add Coldlytics from the directory instead of as a custom connector.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, Connectors, Advanced and turn on Developer mode.

  2. Create a connector with the server URL above and OAuth authentication.

  3. Sign in to Coldlytics when prompted.

ChatGPT only lets Business and Enterprise workspaces run write tools such as reveals and research launches; on ChatGPT Pro you can search and look up companies. Our ChatGPT app directory listing is also awaiting approval.

Claude Code

Run claude mcp add --transport http coldlytics https://mcp.coldlytics.com/mcp once, then /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in.

Cursor and other MCP clients

Create an API key under Integrations, API & MCP (app.coldlytics.com/dashboard/integrations/api-key) with only the scopes the client needs, and add the server URL to your MCP config with the key in an Authorization: Bearer header.

What your assistant can do

  • Check your account, credits and monthly search allowance.

  • Search companies and people with every Voyager DB filter, and look up one company by domain.

  • Reveal a verified email and direct dial for one person, or a large batch in the background.

  • Find one person's email from their name and company domain.

  • Read the contacts you own, with every email and dial.

  • Read and update your suppression list.

  • Launch a human research task for 20 or more companies or people and follow its progress.

What it costs

The same as the dashboard: 1 credit per verified email reveal, 1 credit per direct dial, 5 credits per hand-researched contact. Searching is free within your plan's monthly allowance, which the MCP server shares with the Chrome extension; the dashboard itself is never capped. Every tool that spends credits is marked, so your assistant asks before running it.

Disconnecting

Connected apps and API keys are listed under Integrations, API & MCP, where you can revoke them at any time. Team seats can only grant what their seat is allowed to do.

Developers

The REST API v3 shares the same engine. See coldlytics.com/developers for the setup guide, api.coldlytics.com/docs for the reference, and the OpenAPI document at https://api.coldlytics.com/v3/openapi.json.
