The Search Position data point tells you what position the company ranks in on Google, and more specifically, the Google Maps interface.

The position is defined as the total of how many company listings from the top of the search results page there were until we found that particular company on the list.

These companies in the list are organized as individual Google Business Profiles that are often the first step in our research of learning more about a particular company and determining if it's a fit for your list.

We uncovered it by running a search that is made up of the Search Term and Search Location data points combined.

To simplify this explanation, it's based on the Industry search term you entered in the task creation, combined with the specific location we searched it within.

When you select data points for this always click on "Search Term" "Search Location" and "Search Position"

The keyword used to find this company was: [search term] [search position] entered in a Google maps search.
