Voyager DB is your go-to tool for pinpointing the right companies to target for your outreach campaigns. With advanced filters and a user-friendly interface, you can quickly identify businesses that match your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). This guide will walk you through the steps to search for companies effectively.

Step 1: Access Voyager DB

  1. Log in to your Coldlytics account.

  2. Navigate to the Voyager DB section from the dashboard.

Step 2: Define Your Search Criteria

Enter your search term in the main search box. This shouldn't include location (this is explained below).

💡 Example search terms: "Med Spa", "Plumbing", or "HVAC".

Remember: we match these search terms to the company names and their website titles within our database, so for maximum results you may want to search using multiple permutations of the same term.

💡 Example permutations for medical spas: "Med Spa", "Medical Spa", "MedSpa", "MediSpa".

In addition, Voyager DB offers a range of filters to help you find the perfect companies. Use these to narrow down your search:

1. Location

  • Filter by:

    • City & Radius (e.g., within 50 miles of a specific location)

    • County, State, or Country

2. Technologies

  • Identify companies based on the technologies they use, such as:

    • CMS Platforms: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, etc.

    • CRM Tools: Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.

    • Analytics Tools: Google Analytics, Hotjar, etc.

3. Advertiser Pixels

  • Find companies using specific advertising pixels:

    • Facebook Pixel

    • LinkedIn Insight Tag

    • Google Ads Conversion Pixel

    • TikTok Pixel

4. Google Business Profile

  • Filter by the presence or claimed status of a Google Business Profile.

5. Social Profiles

  • Target companies based on their activity on:

    • Facebook

    • Instagram

    • LinkedIn

    • X (formerly Twitter)

    • TikTok

    • YouTube

6. Website Page Speed

  • Specify a maximum loading time (in milliseconds) to find companies with fast-loading websites.

7. Contact Emails

  • Filter companies with available generic contact emails.

8. Exclude Duplicates

  • Ensure you don’t target companies you’ve already received contact research for by enabling the deduplication option.

Step 3: Review Search Results

  1. Once you’ve applied your filters, Voyager DB will display the matching companies.

  2. Use the following information to evaluate the results:

    • Company Name

    • Website Domain

    • Address Details

    • Social Profiles

    • Advertiser Pixels

    • Google Review Score and Count

Step 4: Save or Export Your Results

  • Saving Results:

    • Select specific companies to save to a list.

    • You can later submit these lists for contact research tasks.

  • Exporting Results:

    • Export the data as a CSV file, subject to your plan's export limits.

    • When exporting, make sure to select all the columns you want included in the final CSV. Exported CSVs will reflect both the currently selected columns, and their order.

  • Combine Filters: Use multiple filters (e.g., location + technologies + advertiser pixels) for precision.

  • Experiment: Try different combinations of filters to explore new opportunities.
